LPN or LPN-C
Seeking full-time LPN or LPN-C (preferred) to work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
Essential job functions include:
1. Administers medications, IV therapy, treatments and nursing interventions to patients as directed. (LPN-C)
2. Make observations, performs assessments and collects data regarding patients condition/health status.
3. Provides personal care to patients according to need; maintains orderliness of patient rooms.
4. Assist with general “shift” responsibilities such as answering patient call lights, answering the telephone , maintaining orderliness of patient care areas, “code” responsibilities, etc.
5. Supports and promotes BCHCC policies and programs.
6. Assists physicians with rounds and procedures.
7. Be able to administer medications and treatments competently.
8. Concise charting of patient medications, treatments, procedures, activities and patient teaching.
9. Contribute to nursing care plan and daily worksheets.
10. Maintains confidentiality and assists others to keep confidentiality.
11. Initiate and follow through on patient teaching with documentation of teaching checked on flow sheet and teaching sheets where applicable.
12. Communicates with Charge Nurse on patient and family needs
13. Maintain current licensure and BLS certification.
14. Pursue continuing education as appropriate.
15. Required ability to get to and from out-of-town seminars, successfully licensure and stay current with new techniques.
16. Ability to be a team leader and supervise.
17. Communicates with physicians and staff to ensure consistent quality patient care.
18. Maintains safe environment.
19. Seek out help when needed and communicate patient needs to other team members.
Registered Nurse (RN)
Seeking full-time RN to work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
Essential job functions include:
1. Direct patient care (including ER and OB).
2. Assist physician with rounds and procedures.
3. Perform concise charting of patient medications, treatments, procedures, activities and patient teaching.
4. Ability to administer medications and treatments competently.
5. Contribute to nursing care plan and daily worksheets.
6. Initiate and follow through on patient teaching with documentation of teaching checked on flow sheet and teaching sheets where applicable.
7. Communicate with charge nurse on patient and family needs.
8. Communicate with physician and staff to ensure consistent quality patient care.
9. Seek out help when needed and communicate patient needs to other team members.
10. Pursue continuing education as appropriate.
11. Stay current with new techniques.
12. Ability to work in specialized areas and/or obtain required continuing education in these areas.
13. Maintain current licensure and BLS certification.
14. Maintain confidentiality and assist other to keep confidentiality.
15. Maintains safe environment.
