Butler County Health currently has openings for a Certified Nurse Aide. This Full-time day position (36 hrs/wk) includes providing patient care and assistance with activities of daily living under the direction of the nurse. Documents care provided, prepares and restocks patient rooms and selected areas. Demonstrate an awareness of and respect for patient rights and maintains patient confidentiality and completes other duties as assigned. This position will be required to work every third weekend as well as a holiday rotation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Understand and comply with the requirements of the Hospital’s Compliance Program, including, but not limited to the Code of Conduct, The Compliance Policy, all organization-wide policies for compliance and compliance plans affecting specific duties and responsibilities.
Participate in all education and training programs regarding compliance as required by Hospital policy and as requested by supervisor.
- Prioritize patient care.
- Provide patient care including but not limited to taking vital signs, feeding, bathing, ambulating, assisting and moving patient when needed.
- Record patient care in the electronic health record.
- Demonstrate an awareness of and respect of patient rights. Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Seek out help when needed and communicate patient needs to other team members. Be a cooperative team member.
- Follow orders of the nurse in charge.
- Prepare and restock patient rooms and selected areas. Make beds and clean up patient rooms and patient care areas.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment when exposure to blood and/or body fluids is anticipated, or when working in an isolation area.
- Implement safe work practices 100% of time to reduce the risk of occupational exposure during all procedures or tasks that involve contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain current BLS certification.
- Request needs for further education. Continue professional growth.
