Seeking Full-Time Human Resources Assistant to work 40 hours/week, M-F (8-4:30pm).  This individual will be responsible for assisting in multiple human resources functions and processing payroll for the facility.  Computer and office experience required. Past Human Resources or Payroll experience and/or associate’s degree in Business preferred.  Closing Date: March 24, 2019

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Understand and comply with the requirements of the Hospital’s Compliance Program, including, but not limited to the Code of Conduct, The Compliance Policy, all organization-wide policies for compliance and compliance plans affecting specific duties and responsibilities.

Participate in all education and training programs regarding compliance as required by Hospital policy and as requested by supervisor.

Consistently support the compliance Program through personal example; the provision of day-to-day instruction and correction to employees in regard to compliance-related issues; application of appropriate discipline as required for compliance violations; and ongoing monitoring of activities and work product in areas of responsibility with respect to Compliance-related issues.

Proficient with computers and electronic distribution.

1. Completes payroll process electronically.

2. Conducts new employee general orientation.

3. Processes employee salary, benefit payroll deduction changes and other employee status changes.

4. Assists in securing personnel files and information.

5. Assists with the employee appraisal/evaluation process.

6. Updates Employee Handbook as instructed.  Assists in educating staff on personnel policies.

7. Works with work comp with filing/managing of claims, OSHA log, employee follow-up, etc.

8. Tracks employee FMLA.

9. Assists with new employee benefit enrollments/changes/questions.

10. Tracks affirmative action data.

11. Assists with the online employee mandatory in-service training.

12. Assists Lead HR Generalist with COBRA requirements.

13. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Lead HR Generalist.

14. Keeps current with legal issues/Employment Law by working with Lead HR Generalist and attending workshops and outside meetings as requested.

15. Attends facility-wide and departmental meetings as necessary.
