Butler County Health Care Center is seeking a Full-time Pharmacy Clerk to work days M-F. This position will be responsible for completing daily, weekly, monthly and yearly 340B audits and attend in person or via-web-service, continuing education regarding 340B. Other duties as assigned. Must be 18 years of age and a High School Graduate or equivalent. On-the-job training after employment is required with completing necessary course work to become a licensed and certified Pharmacy Technician. Knowledge/experience in Microsoft Excel preferred. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Understand and comply with the requirements of the Hospital’s Compliance Program, including, but not limited to the Code of Conduct, The Compliance Policy, all organization-wide policies for compliance and compliance plans affecting specific duties and responsibilities.
Participate in all education and training programs regarding compliance as required by Hospital policy and as requested by supervisor
Consistently support the compliance Program through personal example; the provision of day-to-day instruction and correction to employees in regard to compliance-related issues; application of appropriate discipline as required for compliance violations; and ongoing monitoring of activities and work product in areas of responsibility with respect to compliance-related issues.
1. Generate daily, weekly and monthly 340B (Federal Drug Discount Program) reports.
2. Complete daily, weekly, monthly and yearly 340B audits and attend in person or via-web-service, continuing education regarding 340B.
3. Edit billing units per package within Electronic Medical Record and 340B software.
4. Monitor accumulation with the 340B program.
5. Assist in the maintenance of the pharmacy module within EMR.
6. Process pharmacy patient charges daily.
7. Assist pharmacists in maintenance of drug invoices.
8. Other clerical duties as assigned.
9. Answer incoming department phone calls.
10. Attend Pharmacy meetings if requested by Director of Pharmacy.
11. Participate in QI studies as assigned.
12. Attend seminars and workshops as directed.
13. Maintain patient confidentiality.
