Butler County Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN CNA to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to our patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position offers flexibility with scheduling and is ideal for those looking to work on an as-needed basis.  Tasks include providing patient care and assistance with activities of daily living under the direction of the nurse. Demonstrate an awareness of and respect for patient rights and maintains patient confidentiality and completes other duties as assigned. This PRN position will be required to work 36 hours per calendar quarter.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Understand and comply with the requirements of the Hospital’s Compliance Program, including, but not limited to the Code of Conduct, The Compliance Policy, all organization-wide policies for compliance and compliance plans affecting specific duties and responsibilities.

Participate in all education and training programs regarding compliance as required by Hospital policy and as requested by supervisor.

  1. Prioritize patient care.
  2. Provide patient care including but not limited to taking vital signs, feeding, bathing, ambulating, assisting and moving patient when needed.
  3. Record patient care in the electronic health record.
  4. Demonstrate an awareness of and respect of patient rights. Maintain patient confidentiality.
  5. Seek out help when needed and communicate patient needs to other team members.  Be a cooperative team member.
  6. Follow orders of the nurse in charge.
  7. Prepare and restock patient rooms and selected areas. Make beds and clean up patient rooms and patient care areas.
  8. Use appropriate personal protective equipment when exposure to blood and/or body fluids is anticipated, or when working in an isolation area.
  9. Implement safe work practices 100% of time to reduce the risk of occupational exposure during all procedures or tasks that involve contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials.
  10. Maintain a safe work environment.
  11. Maintain current BLS certification.
  12. Request needs for further education.  Continue professional growth.

The Parkinson's Empowerment Group at Butler County Health targets so many aspects and symptoms of Parkinson’s. It improves a person’s posture, mobility, balance, and coordination, as well as cognition and ability to multi-task. I also like the flexibility of the program and being able to adjust exercises from each position to fit the need of each individual patient.

I feel having a 3D mammogram was a blessing for me since it detected my Stage 1 cancer.  The technicians were very helpful as they explained how the machine worked compared to the 2D method.  A big difference is that the 3D machines moves above your head from one size to another and gives a more complete image of the breast.  The testing time also seemed shorter than the standard mammogram.

I had a bunion on my foot and I wanted it removed,  but I really didn't want to travel too far to have the procedure done.  So when Butler County Health started providing Podiatry Services, I made an appointment right away.  Dr. Carlston is professional and personable.  He took the time to explain what happens during the procedure and afterwards.
