Butler County Health is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner. This Full-time position will play a key role in providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions for patients across the lifespan. The LMHP will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare team members to deliver integrated behavioral health services in both inpatient and outpatient settings. As a vital part of our care team, you will help patients and families navigate emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs to improve overall health outcomes.
Must possess a Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field, along with a current and valid PLMHP or LMHP license in the state of Nebraska. A Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification is also required. Preferred qualifications include holding a current and valid LIMHP license in Nebraska, one to two years of experience providing direct patient care in counseling or psychotherapy, and experience working in a diverse clinical setting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Understand and comply with the requirements of the Hospital’s Compliance Program, including, but not limited to the Code of Conduct, The Compliance Policy, all organization-wide policies for compliance and compliance plans affecting specific duties and responsibilities.
Participate in all education and training programs regarding compliance as required by Hospital policy and as requested by supervisor
Consistently support the compliance Program through personal example; the provision of day-to-day instruction and correction to employees in regard to compliance-related issues; application of appropriate discipline as required for compliance violations; and ongoing monitoring of activities and work product in areas of responsibility with respect to compliance-related issues.
- Provides direct patient care through psychotherapy and education, including individual, family, and group therapy sessions, as well as psychoeducational group sessions.
- Modifies treatment activities and approaches as needed to support changes in patients’ status.
- Maintains professional boundaries.
- Documents communication with primary care clinic providers and outside support resources.
- Collaborates with other staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Evaluates patients' physical and mental conditions based on review of client information.
- Monitors patient’s use of medications.
- Meets with families, probation officers, policies and other interested parties in order to exchange necessary
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of community resources to effectively support clients’ needs through appropriate referrals, advocacy, and information sharing.
- Complete all required documents in a thorough and detailed manner within the established time frame.
- Follows HIPAA regulations and ensures that the confidentiality of patients’ medical, personal, financial records, employee records, and organizational records is maintained.
- Serves as an advocate for the patient.
