Anesthesia services are available for scheduled procedures, emergency surgical procedures, and obstetrical pain management, 24 hours a day. Butler County Health Care Center employs two Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA), Andrew Carlson, CRNA and M. Corey Kavan, CRNA. Both Andrew and Corey are accredited by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists and maintain certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Andrew Carlson, CRNA, received a Master’s Degree in Nurse Anesthesia from Mount Marty College and Bachelors of Science from Clarkson College. He has been providing anesthesia services since 2011.
M. Corey Kavan, CRNA, received a Master’s Degree in Nurse Anesthesia from Kansas University Medical Center/ BryanLGH Medical Center and Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He has been providing anesthesia services since 2004.
